Nora
Nora: The Perfect Companion for Your Childs Dreamy Nights
Wait, what? Another night light for your kids?
We bought a dozen of them, and didn't really care about them. Then we wanted to make the one we would
buy ourselves. We just hope you like it too.
Bed rituals are for kids
You don't want to spend your cozy bed rituals messing around with some device. That is why you can control every aspect of your Nora from the couch. Simply by using WiFi.
If we can do things automatically for you, we will. We automatically handle daylight saving time, and changing wake time for vacation or weekends is as simple as clicking a button. Lights shouldn't be complicated.
Color and music
We focused on getting the colors and music right. Nora supports 16.8 million colors and can play 44.1 kHz
MP3 music. We didn't put any artificial limits on it whatsoever.
Grab and go
Grab your Nora and go away for the weekend. Nora has a built-in Li-po battery that should last for days. During
the weekend Nora automatically disables the WiFi connection to save your precious battery and go to low-power mode.
Obviously your Nora won't flash or play stupid sounds when your battery is low in the middle of the night.
Nora accepts a standard USB-C cable for charging - which we won't ship because you probably already have
a dozen of them.
Cloud-less, app-less
Really, nobody should have access to any data of your kids. That is why we won't put your data in the cloud. Ever.
Nora features an online web-app, which you can just open on your browser. Nora runs on Nora. The web app,
music, schedule - so really, just everything - runs on your Nora. There's no need to install any apps. The
moment you power your Nora, it will automatically spawn a secure Wifi AP which you can use on any phone,
tablet or laptop. You can connect it to your standard access point for convenience, and off you go.
Optional SD card
Nora supports an optional micro-SD card. Basically this means you can expand your music experience with a
few GB's of storage. That should be more than plenty for any kid.
Made in the Netherlands
Nora is really made in the Netherlands. We run our own injection molding machines based on our own firmware.
We program and test each board, using our own testing hardware. We assemble the devices ourselves. We create
the packaging and package each product. We ship them. We recycle the waste. In other words, made in the
Netherlands. By us.
Environmental friendly
We care for our kids, and want to give them a nice place to live as well. Please don't throw your Nora away,
but just send it back. We'll make sure that the plastic is properly recycled because we know what it's made of,
and we'll make sure that the product gets a proper second life.
That's also why you receive your Nora in a simple cardboard box. We know you're just going to toss it, so it
makes little sense to add to the waste. Please don't blame us for doing the best we can.
If your Nora is broken, please just send us a support ticket as well. In most cases, we want to know why
it broke so we can learn from our mistakes.
We designed Nora to be energy efficient. That also means it has a friendly energy label and that we use
low power modes whenever we can.
